The apartement house is located in a quiet area, 1030 meters above sea level, with a beautiful view of the Hochkönig. The distance to ski slope, the Mühlbach-Hochkönig ski area is just 70 meters away from the apartment house and 4 km from the downtown of Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer. Hiking and cycling trails run in the immediate surroundings of the apartment house. A ski slope runs in winter around the apartment house and summer hiking trails. Combined with pastures, meadows and dominant mountains, it is the ideal place for summer and winter holidays.
Winter attracts more tourists to this region than summer, but believe me, Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer is the right address for an active and undisturbed summer holiday. In the winter months, there are 4 large resorts within reach in the area, which expand the offer of skiing to the summer months (Kitzsteinhorn glacier). Near Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer is also the largest European bike park in Leogang. There is also a 1,600-meter toboggan run in Saalfelden.

In front of the majestic scenery of the Hochkönig, fairytale-like slopes and rustic ski huts invite you to the ski area between the three towns of Maria Alm, Dienten, and Mühlbach am Hochkönig. A total of 120 km of slopes guarantees unlimited skiing enjoyment. It includes an unbelievable 35 km of slopes as well as 7,500 vertical meters.The slopes in the Hochkönig ski region are diverse and rich in variety. Skiers of every ability level will find their favorite slope. Whether you are trying out the practice slope for the first time or are having a blast on the Marlies Schild training route, skiing fun is guaranteed. Several valley runs in all three towns provide individual access opportunities.
MARIA ALM AM STEINERNEN MEER
Maria Alm is one of Austria's best kept secrets. Maria Alm is in the Hochkönig region of Austria, in the Salzburgerland close to the border with Germany. The valley is dominated by the rocky peaks of the Hochkönig Massif which provide the awesome backdrop for much of the walking. The main and side valleys boast 220 miles of hiking paths which are well marked and well maintained. There is a wealth of walking, from strolls through flower-filled meadows to more challenging walks to peaks over 2000m. There is a chance to use the local Wanderbus which travels along the valley throughout the day and stops at all major walking trails in all the villages. There are a number of ski lifts open throughout the summer, offering futher possibilities to extend the walking to higher levels (peaks such as Klingspitz at 1988m, Schneeberg at 1938m and Hundstein at 2117m).
